Floral Print Fit and Flare: McCall's 6915

Let’s talk about this floral color block beauty I whipped up for my niece.

I used McCall’s 6915 to create this look, and I will use it for the upcoming sewing projects I have planned for her with variations.

I did view A bodice with View C skirt. I had to take in the bodice about 1/4 an inch. The skirt was also a bit short, so to accommodate that, I finish the skirt hem by doing a rolled hem on the serger. In the future, I will need to lengthen the skirt by at least an inch. The fabric is a remnant of the four yards I used to make my dress (here), and I had enough leftover to make a top knot headwrap (turban). I didn’t use a pattern to draft the headwrap, and since I didn’t take notes, I won’t go into details about how I made it.

To complete the outfit, my niece wore her brown frank sandals (DSW).
