Mini Hudson, Mini Review

How ironic is it that my first make for my niece in 2020 is exactly the first thing I made for my boyfriend last year. That's right; the Hudson pants by True Bias are back, and it's mini, so that makes it even better. Since I've reviewed this once and my adjustments for my niece's Hudson are minor, this review will be brief and to the point.

I love that I was able to squeeze my niece's Hudson out of a scrap of Liverpool knit leftover from my Freya Dress project. I cut the size 3T but lengthen the pant legs to a 4T. After I cut all the pieces, I decided to use floral print double brushed knit in the scrap bin, for the waistband, cuffs, and pocket detail, to play off the texture on the Liverpool knit.

The mini Hudson was a quick project, taking about 4 hours to complete from cut to finish. I plan to whip up two or three more for spring, because she loves pockets, and I do mean she loves pockets. I love the fact that she has a pair of pants that fit her waist and aren't flood pants (do people still use that term?). She also had no trouble being active in these, and that’s most important.

Well, I think I’ve said it all, until next time creatives!
